The Galleria

Eliot Neighborhood http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eliot,_Portland,_Oregon

Northwest PortlandDistrict
A trendy neighborhood of Portland. Most Portlanders just call it “Northwest.” The two main streets are NW 23rd and NW 21st. Both are lined with shops and restaurants. Trader Joe’s, the low price gourmet market, is on Glisan between NW 21st and NW 22nd. The Mission Theater, a great place to see a 2nd run movie for $3 is at 1624 NW Glisan. Check out the current listings here: www.mcmenamins.com/index.php?loc=72&id=169

You can get a great view of downtown and Mt Hood from Vista Bridge which is on SW Vista Avenue, up the hill across Burnside (NW 23rd Ave becomes SW Vista Ave south of Burnside St). It’s worth the walk up the hill to see the view on a clear day, or at night – to see the city lights.

Photo highlights of my trip to Alpine, Jackson, Tetons, Yellowstone, and parts of Montana and Idaho.

You can see the Arnica forest fires in the distance in two of the West Thumb area shots. The fires burned approximately 10,700 acres in late September and forced the closure of the Grand Loop Road between West Thumb and the Lake Hotel area. There were also controlled burns in the Alpine area as well as an additional wildfire around the south end of Jackson lake in the Tetons.

Higher quality stills of these photos can be viewed in my gallery.

Mount Fuji is the highest mountain in Japan at 3,776 m (12,388 ft).

Along with Mount Tate and Mount Haku, it is one of Japan’s “Three Holy Mountains”. An active volcano that last erupted in 1707–08, Mount Fuji is just west of Tokyo, and can be seen on a clear day.

Mount Fuji’s exceptionally symmetrical cone is a well-known symbol of Japan and it is frequently depicted in art and photographs, as well as visited by sightseers and climbers.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mount_Fuji

Took me too long to edit this video. Thanks all you guys for waiting!

I might have drifted off too far to the left with cinematic music. I edited the whole thing with iMovie, and I found out that editing a movie with over an hour of original FULL HD footage will kill the software. The editing became too insane.

So I learned Final Cut Pro and started Japan Travel TV!

Anyways I hope you enjoy this movie! I will do a more comprehensive video next year when the season reopens!

The movie was shot with Panasonic gh-1.

Here’s where you want to stay on Mt. Fuji, its the place in the video!

Bequia is popular among cruising yachts, expats and vacationers. One of the busiest times of the year being the annual Easter Regatta.

Two Scuba diving stores run dive trips to twenty-eight identified dive sites around Bequia. There are several wrecks and shallow caves accessible to advanced divers. It is not unusual to see Hawksbill turtles, lobsters, moray eels and many kinds of fish when diving Bequia.
